The Rice Authentication Systems will be rebooted at 5 pm today (April 4th). OWL-Space user that are active at that time run the risk of being disconnected. Please make sure to save your work, and logoff before 5 pm. Visit http://edtech.rice.edu to look for a Return To Normal notification”.

Software installation request period for registrar controlled classrooms and labs is now open.

Please keep in mind that for new software titles [those not currently listed on this site] your department may need to provide funding for the purchase.

As of 16:15 traffic to OWL-Space CCM has been restored, after a block in the network access protocols was rectified.

ALERT: OWL-SPACE CCM Traffic access issues

The IT system that directs traffic to OWL-Space CCM is having issues. Therefore, it may appear to you as if the system is off-line. IT is working at correcting this problem and will issue a notice of resolution as soon as this has been corrected. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Spring 2012 Software Requests Due Nov 10

Rice Faculty members,

Spring 2012 course software requests are due by Thursday, November 10, 2011.

If your current course software needs to be updated prior to the start of spring classes, or if you require a different software package, please make your requests using this simple form.

Funding and other details will be discussed after EdTech has received all the requests.

The current Windows and Apple software packages can be found in the EdTech website.

OWL-Socrates outtage : Oct 10 – 12

The OWL-Socrates classroom recording environment will be taken down for an upgrade during the Oct. 10 – 12 recess period. The system should be back in operation as classes resume on Wednesday, October 13th.
